Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) – Measure Its Level On Your Purifier

The TDS or Total Dissolved Solids is the scientific method to measure and control the total dissolved solids. We use the best water purifier in our homes or offices. These filters use several methods to purify the water.

How to check the TDS level at home?

Under the TDS method, we can easily check the level of sediments and minerals in water. The easiest process is to use the Digital Total Dissolved Solids Meter for instant results. You can do this by switching on the meter and immersing the TDS meter into the water sample. Now, wait for about 15 seconds. Soon, the result will come out.

After this, press the ‘HOLD’ button and take it out from the water for viewing the reading. The second method is known as the Electrical Conductivity Meter Method (ECMM) under which you require a sterilized glass beaker free of dust. Also, you may need the water sample should be around 250C. Nevertheless, the ECMM works by releasing an electrical current into the water thereby measuring its resistance.

As you have done so, collect a minimum of 50 ml of water sample using the pipette and pour it through the filter paper into another beaker.
